NEP+ Staff plants tree seedlings

Network of Networks of HIV positives in Ethiopia staff planted tree seedlings at the outskirt of Addis Ababa on July 29, 2019.  It is the part of the national campaign called 200 million in a day initiative. The staff plants the tree under the theme of “green legacy” which is a national 4 billion trees planting project that was officially initiated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on May 26, 2019.

 All the staff member of the organization left the office by 8:00 in the morning towards the area that has been facilitated by the Akaki kaliti sub city wereda 2 office for planting area called Addis Modjo exit with specific name of UNISA (university of South Africa) Square.

The Executive Director Ato mekonen Alemu and his management besides all the rest of staff planted more than 200 seedlings.

According to Ethiopian News Agency report, the 4 billion tree planting project will cover the country’s 2.3 percent area by forest.

Throughout the nation more than 353 million trees planted  in 12 hours on Monday, which officials believe is a world record, CNN reported
